20 Mile Run or Hike
The Loop! is a challenging 20 mile trail event in South Devon!
Scenic challenging routes on South West Coast Path and Countryside trails!
Race HQ & the Start/Finish Line is at Broadsands Beach in Torbay.
The 20 Mile Route starts on the beach at Broadsands Beach and heads inland through Churston, Galmpton, Greenway, then into Long Wood and Hoodown Wood, before crossing the steam railway to the River Dart and Kingswear, now you join the South West Coast Path along woodland cliff paths, coves, beaches and stunning scenic hills to Brixham Harbour after looping around the harbour you are back on the trails all the way to the finish.

The Loop! has an 9 hour cut off.
Start time for the 20 Mile event is 9am and cut off is 6pm.
3 Aid Stations on the 20 mile route with water, coke, squash, flapjacks, crisps, nuts, pretzels, party rings, malt loaf and more!
There is approx. 4000ft of ascent on the 20 Mile route.
Navigation – On the South West Coast Path sections, you will navigate by the SWCP signage, so you will follow the SWCP Acorn Signs on these sections, it is well marked and very easy to follow, however in Brixham, we will have some extra signs and marshals. Marshals will be on parts of the inland route and we add extra signage where needed. However please note it is part of the mandatory kit to have the route map printed off or on your phone or watch to navigate, in case of any unforeseen issues.
CUPLESS EVENT!
The Loop! is a Cupless event, all runners must bring and carry either a water bottle, cup or running backpack with them. There are water containers to top up your water but there are no cups provided.

Trail Shoes
Ability to carry 1 litre of fluid, full to start
Mobile phone with event emergency number (this number is given in event info PDF)
£20 Cash / Credit Card for emergencies (Access to some on route toilets)
Foil Blanket or Extra Layer kept dry in a bag
Race Nutrition – While we do have well stocked aid stations, it is best to carry your own nutrition as well.

Map of the route or route uploaded to your phone or watch for navigation
Upon signup you may be offered Refund Protect Insurance, this is an option added by Race Nation (the entry system proivder), it is nothing to do with Winding Paths Ltd, we do not receive any money or have anything to do with this insurance option.
